It all started when...
Pastor Msafiri Mtenzi, a Tanzanian pastor/evangelist, accepted the call from Keith Mosier to join the newly established Congo Frontline Missions as the Director of Evangelism and Training for the mission. Pastor Mtenzi had already proved his calling as a very successful evangelist serving in Tanzania. He and his family joined the mission in 2007.
Pastor Mtenzi is responsible for the training, supervising and mentoring of all Lay Bible Workers (also called Church Planters), placing them in dark areas where there is no Gospel work, planning and coordinating evangelistic meetings, baptizing new converts and determining where One-Day Churches are needed. He also works closely with Keith Mosier and Nathan Rittenour in the planning of new water wells in these remote villages.
During this past year of 2016 Pastor Mtenzi conducted two training sessions. One with 39 students at our home mission station in Kisangani and another, with 30 students, at our new extension campus in Bunia. Bunia is located in the far eastern section of the Congo in an unsettled area where rebel activity is still prevalent.
Through the sacrificial ministry of these workers over 600 precious souls were baptized, one new church building was constructed and two new schools were built. The first ever One-Day Church was constructed in the Bunia area. The first one this far east!
We praise God for a committed and dedicated man like Pastor Mtenzi who is willing to travel anywhere to spread the Gospel!
